What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

This is a starting template, not legal advice. Review it with a professional before you launch, and replace anything that does not describe how you actually operate.
This policy explains what personal data this academy collects, what it is used for, and the rights you have over it. The short version: we collect what running your account and courses needs, we don't sell it, and you can export or delete it whenever you like.
Account details. Your name, email address and a hashed password when you register. If you sign in with a magic link we store when it was issued and used.
Learning activity. Which lessons you've completed, quiz attempts and scores, notes and bookmarks, and the certificates you've earned — so we can show you where you left off and prove what you've finished.
Purchases. What you bought, when, for how much, and the coupon used. Payment itself is handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.
Messages and reviews. Anything you send through the contact form, post in a discussion, or write in a course review.
Technical data. Your IP address and browser type appear in server logs and in our first-party usage analytics, which are stored on our own server.
To run your account, deliver the courses you enrol in, issue certificates, process orders and refunds, answer your messages, and send transactional email about your purchases and progress. We send marketing email only if you opt in, and every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Where data-protection law requires one, we process your data to perform our contract with you (running your account and courses), to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records for purchases), and — for analytics and marketing you have opted into — with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Only the providers needed to operate the service: our payment provider to take payment, and our email provider to deliver mail. We do not share or sell your data to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use third-party tracking.
For as long as you have an account. Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires after that. Deleting your account removes your profile and learning data; certificates already issued keep their verification record with your name so they remain provable.
You can see and update your details in your account, export a copy of your data, and delete your account at any time from your account settings. You can also ask us to correct or erase anything by contacting us. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
We use one first-party cookie to keep you signed in, and one to remember your light/dark preference. Neither is used for tracking, and we do not set third-party cookies.
This academy is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
If we make a material change we will tell registered learners by email before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
